Contributions
Since our beginning in 1987, we have given 100% of all contributions received back to disadvantaged individuals in Mecklenburg County.  With your tax-deductible contribution, we can continue this tradition and make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

How Can Your Contribution Help?
  • $25 will pay co-payments for medications for patients with diabetes, asthma, heart condition, a severe infection, or a combination of illnesses.
  • $50 will pay for two medical uniforms for a new hire to begin working as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • $100 will stop an electrical, gas or water disconnection for a family with children.
  • $150 will purchase a re-conditioned stove to assist a family who does not have a stove.
  • $200 will purchase a crib and mattress for a baby to have a safe sleeping arrangement.
  • $250 will serve as a down payment for a child to receive dental repairs for advanced tooth decay.
  • $500 will purchase a dining room set, sofa and bedding for a family who has no furniture.

Memorials/Honorariums
We all have special people in our lives we want to honor, or a loved one no longer with us we want to remember in a touching way.  Making a charitable contribution is a gratifying way to let others know how special they are.  Please complete the In Honor Of/In Memory Of section on the Make A Contribution page to make your gift.  We will acknowledge your gift(s) to the person(s) you designate.

Matching Gifts
Many companies have a matching gift program whereby your contribution can be doubled.  If your company has one, please obtain the proper paperwork on your program and forward it to us in the Good Friends office.
