OVERVIEW
Box springs and mattresses, door locks for battered women, psychiatric counseling, transportation fare, orthopedic shoes, camp and daycare fees, air conditioners, medical expenses, utility payments, car repairs – these are only a few of the many ways Good Friends reaches out to help those less fortunate and in desperate situations living in our community.

It all begins with a single luncheon each December when Good Friends holds a festive, holiday luncheon for members and their guests.  The annual membership is very modest and includes lunch for members.  Guess are welcome and are charged a minimal fee to attend.

During the luncheon, true stories of how just a few dollars can make such a large difference to people in need are shared.  The time commitment is a single lunch hour, but the impact provided by member and guest donations can last a lifetime.

It is the policy of Good Friends to present a program at our annual luncheon that is of interest to all its members and guests – with a central theme of love, joy and sharing.  Although our event is scheduled in December with a Christmas theme, it is considered to be a non-denominational event of interest and comfort to women of all religions.

Since our inception, we have given 100% of all contributions (over $2 million) received back to the Charlotte community.  We hope you will help us continue this tradition by joining us and making a difference for those who are less fortunate.
